Ethics and Academic Integrity — The Role Cheating Plays in School Communities
What exactly are ethics and what role do they play in our school-related decisions. What does it mean to sign a contract agreeing to be part of a community? How do we inspire direct ownership of the issue of academic honesty and integrity? How do we help ourselves and others not succumb to the pressure to cheat? How do the responsibilities of students and faculty members differ or parallel in relation to honor codes, plagiarism, and dishonesty in the classroom? This workshop allows school communities to grapple openly with the real consequences of cheating.
