The Set Up — Resisting the Boy Code

With the backdrop of a multi-media presentation, Charis Denison discusses the messages boys are surrounded by that shape how they define themselves and interact with others. This workshop highlights the possible consequences to young men and their relationships when they don’t acknowledge and challenge some of those messages.  What is “The Boy Code” and how do young men resist falling into its trap? Finally, we discuss ways to resist these obstacles to achieve real power, pride, and purpose. This presentation may be tailored to the developmental needs of 6th to 12th grade boys.
